In-Lab Sleep Studies

At Sleepwatchers, we provide day and night sleep studies for diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, periodic limb movement disorder, nocturnal behaviors (sleep walking, talking and eating in sleep, acting out dreams) disorders and narcolepsy.

The staff is amazing! The overnight technicians have an excellent bedside manner and treat all of our patients like family. The daytime staff is equally helpful and will go out of their way to accommodate all patient requests. Furthermore, the facility is handicap accessible and features a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our patients feel right at home! We have two bedrooms, each with a full-size, pressure-relieving bed to provide you with the most comfortable experience possible. Bedrooms have TV and a private bathroom for your convenience. In the morning, grab a gourmet cup of coffee and a breakfast snack to go. Come on in...you will be pleasantly surprised!

Sleepwatchers provides sleep studies for individuals aged 3 and up. For our younger patients, we have a second bedroom on site for parents to stay close by! For adults, sleep studies are available in your home or in our lab depending on your needs. Plus, we will do our best to accommodate your sleep schedule by scheduling you for an appropriate day and time. We customize our services for you and utilize a wide variety of techniques to diagnose treat sleep disorders. We really are here to help you sleep better!

Your appointment will be scheduled approximately 60 to 90 minutes prior to your usual bedtime. During overnight testing, monitoring devices will be applied to record physiological variables (brain wave activity, heart/respiratory rate, oxygen level, limb movements, muscle activity) during your sleep. The hook up will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes, and then you will be allowed to sleep for up to 8 hours. In the morning, the electrodes will be removed in about 15 minutes. You can grab a muffin and a cup of coffee/juice, and then you will be off to start your day as usual.

Results are processed and delivered in a timely manner in order to begin treatment promptly. As a patient of Sleepwatchers, you will be contacted with the results, giving us the opportunity to explain the diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We spend a great deal of time making sure you understand your diagnosis and treatment options. We will also fax results to your physician immediately to ensure continuity of care. A consultation with a board-certified sleep physician is offered before and after testing in order to keep our patients informed. All testing is interpreted by our medical director, Dr. Alfred Habel. Still have questions? Call us and we will alleviate your concerns!
