Alfred Habel, MD, FAASM – Medical Director

The extensive training Dr. Habel received during his fellowship at the Mayo Clinic prepared him to be an extremely knowledgeable sleep physician. In addition, Dr. Habel founded the United Hospital System sleep center in Kenosha, Wisconsin. His many years of experience have shaped his ability to help patients resolve their sleep problems in a supportive and caring manner.

Janet Barney, APNP – Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner

Janet has many years of medical experience and has worked in a variety of medical settings. At Sleepwatchers, Janet offers Sleep Consultations, nasal endoscopies, the management of sleep disorders, and compliance with treatment for a variety of sleep disorders. Her thorough and thoughtful touch while seeing patients allows our clientele to feel comfortable and heard.

Sleep Technicians

Our sleep technicians are friendly, courteous, and well-trained. Several members of our staff hold the Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) certification so patients are monitored by knowledgeable technicians. Each member of our staff spends a considerable amount of time becoming acquainted with our clients in order to provide customized service. This contributes to a relaxing environment for the patient and more accurate results.

Faye – “I began my venture with Sleepwatchers in 2014 as the i-Lipo Technician, and I have acquired many other responsibilities along the way. At night, I work as a sleep technician to complete diagnostic and treatment sleep studies in our sleep center. I thoroughly enjoy my position here at Sleepwatchers, but I am first and foremost a mother. My children are my pride and joy and they keep me quite busy. I am happily married and look forward to many more years with my husband. In my spare time, I love to hunt, cook, and make my own soaps and lotions. I also spend quite a bit of time taking care of the farm. I manage to stay very busy, but if there is something I can do for you, just ask!”

Support Staff

Melanie – DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST - “In 2010, I started working for Sleepwatchers as a nighttime sleep technician. I gained extensive experience as a sleep technician which has allowed me to help our patients better understand their CPAP therapy. In addition, I have learned how to troubleshoot the difficulties of using CPAP so that I can provide each patient with personable and customized service. Currently, my position includes setting up patients with sleep equipment, tracking compliance, fitting patients with masks, and serving as a liaison to all our patients utilizing PAP therapy. My strongest attribute is my customer service background from years of working with high profile clients in the relocation industry. Outside of work, I am the mom of an amazing boy and most enjoy spending time with him and my husband. Getting together with family and friends is my favorite past time.”

Sarah – MEDICAL EQUIPMENT ASSISTANT – “In 2017, I came to Sleepwatchers as the Website Designer. Since then, I have grown in my skills and responsibilities. Currently, I manage the website, help patients with their supply orders, and manage product selection and inventory for the facility. Balancing a number of tasks can be daunting, but I love my job at Sleepwatchers. Married with 4 children, I definitely keep busy at home, too. After running the kids to activities and taking care of the house, I enjoy drawing, painting, cutting hair and tending to my gardens.”

Audrey – BILLING & INSURANCE BENEFITS COORDINATOR - “I joined Sleepwatchers in 2017, and I can honestly say I have found my second home! My responsibilities include patient and insurance billing, answering phones and various office duties. I look forward to growing with Sleepwatchers for many years to come. In my spare time, I am mother to three wonderful children, and I am married to the most supportive man in the world. Hobbies include cooking, swimming and spending time with my family. I enjoy the peace and quiet when possible, especially when I can indulge in a scoop of Culver’s vanilla custard!”

Shauna – CLEANING CREW - "Working for Sleepwatchers has been a solid experience for me and my family of four! I have two wonderful children who keep me entertained everyday; plus, my husband is amazing and supportive of my dreams! At work, I am responsible for the cleanliness of the facility as well as the safety and security of the facility. I take pride in the appearance of our welcoming environment and I try to contribute in any way I can."
