VirtuOx has introduced Sleepifi Dream, which is a Type 4 home sleep testing (HST) device that collects data to calculate the Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI), which measures how many times per hour breathing is partially or completely blocked during sleep. The AHI is critical for diagnosing the severity of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and determining the right treatment. It is FDA-cleared to monitor sleep apnea at home. It’s designed for people 18 and older, offering clinical-level data collection while sleeping in a natural environment.

Multi-Night Testing Capability

Sleepifi Dream allows for testing on up to 7 consecutive nights to account for variations in sleep patterns. By collecting data across multiple nights, it helps prevent false negatives that can occur with single-night tests and provides a more accurate representation of apnea severity.

Technology

It uses high-resolution pulse oximetry to capture photoplethysmogram (PPG) signals. Drops in oxygen levels are a key indicator of apnea events, making this measurement essential for accurate diagnosis. Sleepifi Dream can also identify sleep stages along with breathing abnormalities, heart rate and motion. It has a rechargeable lithium battery with a battery life of 72 hours. Data transfer is done via Bluetooth for more immediate results.

The device uses a fingertip sensor and a wrist band only! It stays securely in place, reducing the risk of sleep disruption and making it easier to complete multi-night testing.
